The two legends of Indian Cricket i.e. Zaheer Khan and Virender Sehwag decided to end their international careers this month.

Both were World Cup winners for India, but, had not been in the scheme of things for the last couple of seasons.

While, in Zaheer’s case, fitness was the main issue, Sehwag had been out because of his poor form.

The last time that Zaheer appeared in India jersey was at the start of the previous year when the team was on the tour of New Zealand.

Sehwag’s last game was against Australia in March 2013. The 37-year old Delhi dasher will now take part in the Masters League that is going to be organized pretty soon in United Arab Emirates and the United States of America.

Sehwag had actually been in pretty good form in the domestic Cricket this season and he could have brought himself in contention for a comeback in the national team with a couple of more big knocks for Haryana, but, he surprised everyone with this announcement.

Many thought he still had to offer a little bit to India.

As far as Zaheer is concerned, his retirement was on the expected lines. He had struggled to be fit for a large part of the last season and even the season before that. His speed had come down quite considerably.

Even in that series against New Zealand in which he had played in January 2014, he was bowling at 65-70 miles per hour.

So, his game had not been at that level anymore.

The left arm quick is, however, going to represent the Delhi Daredevils for one more season in the IPL.

Sehwag though would not be seen playing in the IPL either. He had one year left on his contract with the Kings XI Punjab, but, he would not finish that.
